Frequently asked questions
What does the app do?
One iPhone on a tripod records the whole game. While it keeps recording, you can watch any moment that has already happened, on that phone or on a second phone in your hand. Further phones can watch replays too, and a spare iPhone or iPad on the bench can show just the score.
Which devices does it need?
An iPhone running iOS 18 or later to record. A second iPhone is optional for the remote, and more iPhones or an iPad are optional for watching and for the scoreboard. Nothing else: no account, no cloud, no internet connection during the game.
How do the phones connect?
Directly to each other, over Bluetooth and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi. They do not need to be on the same Wi-Fi network and they do not need internet. The recorder shows a pairing code; the other phone types it in once.
The remote cannot find the recorder.
On both phones, check that Local Network is allowed for the app (Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network) and that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are switched on, even if there is no network to join. Bring the phones within a few metres of each other for pairing. If the recorder shows "Remotes can't connect", Local Network is off on the recorder.
Does leaving the app stop the recording?
Yes. iPhone does not let an app use the camera in the background, so switching to another app, answering a video call, or locking the phone ends the recording cleanly. The recording made so far is kept. A phone call is different: the recording continues, and the app writes silence for the length of the call.
How much space does a recording take?
About 4.5 GB per hour at 1080p 30 fps. The app warns at the start of a recording when less than an hour of space is left at the chosen quality.
Where are my recordings?
On the recording phone, inside the app, under Library. They stay there until you delete them. Export makes a normal MP4 file that you can save to Photos or share anywhere.
What does the free version limit?
Recording and replaying are unlimited on every device. The free version limits exporting, sharing and streaming to 60 minutes per 24 hours, and scrubbing and pause on a paired phone are part of the paid version. Subscriptions are handled by the App Store; to cancel, use Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
How do I send a diagnostic log?
The app keeps a short technical log of its own activity on the phone (no video, no audio, no scores). It is never sent anywhere on its own. If it would help with a problem you report, we will explain how to get it off the phone.
How do I delete my data?
Everything the app stores is on your phone. Deleting a recording in Library removes it; deleting the app removes everything. We hold no copy. If you connected a YouTube channel, remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
